A Letter to Santa
Updated: Dec 19, 2020
Dear Santa Claus,
I wish that your year has been well and I hope Mrs. Claus hasn't been giving you hard a time. Do tell me this letter reached you in a timely fashion. I know the post office has been backed up recently. I won't beat around the bush with this one. I'm writing to you on the behalf of writers everywhere. There are a couple things that we would like for Christmas and we hope that you will be able to deliver this year. The includes:
1. Traffic to our blogs
I put this at the top of the list because it's so rewarding to see people taking a little looksy at our work and for some writers this means cash money.
2. Sales on our books
This should be self-explanatory.
3. New ideas for stories and posts
I put this on the list because I know some of us out there are struggling to come up with content, so I gotchu.
4. A '54 convertible
Santa baby....
5. Writer's Block (the physical block not to be confused with mental collapse)
It's so cute and when I do get writer's block (mental malfunction version) I can violently throw this little wooden box so far into the future that I'll be successful before it lands.
6. Some books...about writing
What writer doesn't want to hone their skills?
7. Just a break
Writing is straight up exhausting, not complaining, just saying.
8. Coffee
Oh Santa, please fuel my addiction.
9. A typewriter?
Not that we would ever use it, but it would look nice sitting on a desk somewhere collecting dust.
10. A new chair (my butt hurts)
Ignore that last part.
That's all. See? Not too much stuff. Just somethings that would make our lives a tad bit better.
Happy Holidays,
Writers
P.S I'm being serious about the '54 convertible. Make that happen.
